  1. a unit of land, that consists of a continent and the islands surrounding it, or a part of it.

Usage notes[edit]

There are 6 "maailmajagu" - Europe (Euroopa), Asia (Aasia), America (Ameerika), Africa (Aafrika), Antarctica (Antarktika), and Australia (Austraalia ja Okeaania). The definition of maailmajagu differs from that of a manner, which doesn't include any islands and groups America and Eurasia differently.
