- Additionally, we observed a series of several-for-one microsyntenies between Populus and grape/ Arabidopsis WRKY genes, while only PtrWRKY30 and AtWRKY30 exhibited one-for-one microsynteny and had no detected linkage with other WRKY genes, guessed these genes may have played a vital role in the expansion of the WRKY III gene family during evolution.
