Etymology[edit]
From parts meaning clear and day. Cognate with Unami mushhàkw (“clear sky”), Penobscot mósikiskʷ (“clear blue sky”), Mi'kmaq musigisg. There were some people by this name. They were related to the sky:the Sky family.
