Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *skaka, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *skek- (to jump, be agile). Cognate to Old Norse skaga (to protrude), Proto-Slavic *skokъ (jump).[1]
