Etymology

From a South Slavic language; compare Serbo-Croatian suditi ("to judge, to trial"), Old Church Slavonic сѫдити (sǫditi) ("to judge"); ultimately from Proto-Slavic *sǫdi ("to judge").[1] Borrowed later than doublet sundoj.
