From Proto-Athabaskan *tɬʼʊχ. Cognate with Sarcee (guu)tłʼowí, Chipewyan tłʼog, Beaver tłʼógi, Carrier tłʼooh, Sekani tłʼóó, Ahtna tlʼogh. Doublet also of the root -TŁʼO, “to be hairy”).
