Etymology[edit]

From Ottoman Turkish تحشیدات (tahşidat), Arabic plural of تحشید (tahşid), from Arabic تَحْشِيد (taḥšīd), verbal noun of حَشَدَ (ḥašada, to gather, concentrate, mobilize). Formally, the Arabic plural of obsolete tahşid, tahşit.
