Compare Pipil i-uhmiyu (its fur; its feather), Classical Nahuatl tōch-ohmitl (rabbit fur); Classical Nahuatl tohmitl (fur), Northern Puebla Nahuatl tohmitl (wool), Tlamacazapa Nahuatl tojmitl (feather; wool); Mecayapan Nahuatl tzojmiꞌ (fur; feather). The variation in initial consonants is unexplained.
