Compare Sahu cuada'a, Waioli tuada'a, Tobelo tuada, cuaraka, Galela tuada; the exact relationship between each of these is uncertain. Externally, compare Banjarese tiwadak, Brunei Malay tibadak, suggesting an early Austronesian borrowing.
