Danish

Etymology

Compared to Old English tādie, tādiġe (Middle English tode (toad)), but OED rejects this because the zero grade of ai is i, not u. Possibly from tude (to grumble). Related to Swedish and Icelandic tossa, groda.

Pronunciation

  • Lua error in Module:parameter_utilities at line 748: Item 2 in the list of numeric parameters cannot be empty, because the list must be contiguous.

Noun
