Etymology

A z- prefixed form of varrë, from Proto-Albanian *varsa, from Proto-Indo-European *u̯ers (to drag on the ground). Compare Hittite [Term?] (/⁠u̯arš⁠/, pluck, reap), Ancient Greek ἔρρω (érrhō, go away, disappear), Latin verro (to drag, to sweep), Old Norse vǫrr (stroke), Latvian vârsms (heap of corn, grain)[1].
