Ultimately from Ancient Greek τέχνη (tékhnē) + -κρατία (-kratía). With техно- (texno-) prefix. Compare Russian технокра́тия (texnokrátija), Belarusian тэхнакра́тыя (texnakrátyja), Polish technokracja.
