Etymology
[edit]Related to Danish ælle bælle mig fortælle, Dutch iene miene mutte and Norwegian elle melle deg fortelle.
Often is used in quasi-Latin counting rhymes (in the similar way as Norwegian Nynorsk enike penike), but it is not clear if this Russian counting formula is derived from Latin or not.
