Old Norse *þes-, þessi (Neuter Plur.), sjá (Nom.),[1] related to and from the same ultimate origin as the irregular inflection of Old Norse , a descendant from the likewise irregularly inflected Proto-Germanic *sa.[1] Cognate with Old English þes and Old High German dese.
