Etymology[edit]
Calque of French respectueusement, attested 1846.[1] From adjective ευσέβαστος (efsévastos).[2] Not to be confused with the Ancient Greek adverb εὐσεβέως (eusebéōs) and εὐσεβῶς. See adjective εὐσεβής (eusebḗs).
