מתנות לאביונים / מַתָּנוֹת לָאֶבְיֹנִים • (matanót laevyoním) f (no plural forms, no construct forms)
- (uncountable) The giving of gifts, especially money, to the poor on Purim, or the requirement to do so.
- (plural only) The gifts so given.
Usage notes[edit]
- The grammatical number of the uncountable noun is usually singular; of the plural, plural. The gender of the uncountable noun is usually feminine; of the plural, always feminine.
