[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian آذَرْبایِگان (āzarbāyigān), from Middle Persian ʾtwrpʾtkʾn/ʾtwrpʾtkn (Ādurbādagān), from the personal name Atropates who founded kingdom of Atropatene.
