Inherited from Prakrit 𑀮𑀼𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀤𑀺 (lukkadi), a Middle-Indo-Aryan variant of Sanskrit लुप्यते (lúpyatē), from Proto-Indo-European *Hrewp-.
