Tool noun coined from ܚܵܫܹܒ݂ (ḥāšēḇ, to think, compute) as substitute for the more common Anglicism ܟܘܿܡܦܝܘܼܬܸܪ (kōmpyūtir); compare similar in Arabic حَاسُوب (ḥāsūb) and Hebrew מַחְשֵׁב (makhshév).
