抹茶 (hiragana まっちゃ, romaji maccha)

  1. powder of maccha. (also spelled as matcha).
    A Japanese powder made from specially treated green tea leaves for use in 茶道 (さどう, sadō), “‘Japanese tea ceremony’”)
  2. The Japanese green tea made from mixing hot water with this powder.
