Etymology[edit]
Considering the area was known as a stone quarry for many years before urban development took place, it is possible that its English name Diamond Hill may be a mistranslation in the form of 鑽石 (“diamond”) + 山 (“hill”) as 鑽石 might have meant "to drill for rocks".
