Etymology[edit]

By analogy with 케바케 (kebake), replacing the syllable (ke) for English case with (sa) for Korean 사람 (saram, person).

  • Phonetic hangul: [(ː)]
    • Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
