Suffix[edit]

  1. Used to form many adjective forms from nouns in Irish, the adjectives having the sense of "like or characteristic of what is denoted by the noun". Similar to English -ly.
    fear (man) → fearúil (manly)
    cairde (friends) → cairdiúil (friendly)
