-esar
- passive suffix used with transitive verbs to form an intransitive verb with the transitive object as subject
- suffix used with adjectives to form an intransitive verb with the meaning of "to be (adjective)"
Usage notes[edit]
This suffix is equivalent to -ata (adjectival present passive participle ending) + esar for verbs or -a (adjective ending) + esar for adjectives.
