This page contains Limburgish terms that were influenced by the High German consonant shift.
Limburgish is a language that only took part in the High German consonant shift marginally. There are the four words present in all dialects that shifted: ich (“I”) (compare Dutch ik and German ich, also note that Northern Limburgish dialects use the unshifted variant ik, ek), mich (“my”) (compare Old Dutch mik and German mich), dich (“your”), and ouch (“also”) (compare Dutch ook and German auch). Apart from these some individual dialects (especially those geographically closer to the Benrath line) also have other terms that shifted.
