Etymology[edit]

Everett +‎ Wheeler +‎ telephone. Based on the physics of Hugh Everett III and John Archibald Wheeler. Coined by American physicist Joseph Polchinski in 1990.

Everett-Wheeler telephone (plural Everett-Wheeler telephones)

  1. A method of transmission of information between different quantum universes in branches of the quantum multiverse that exist after the creation of the telephone, in a MWI of quantum physics.
