Borrowed from Garhwali गढ़वळि (gaṛhvaḷi), probably via another Indo-Aryan language.

  1. A Central Pahari language of the Indo-Aryan language family spoken chiefly by the Garhwal people of Uttarakhand, India. Some sources consider it to be a dialect of Hindi.
