(pathology) Haemophilus aphrophilus, Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (the former name of Haemophilus actinomycetemcomitans), Cardiobacterium hominis, Eikenella corrodens, and Kingella kingaefive gram-negative bacilli that are typically associated with being fastidious or difficult to culture and which can cause bacterial endocarditis.
