PNR (plural PNRs)

  1. (travel, aviation) Initialism of passenger name record: the complete details of a passenger's booking, including itinerary, contact details, and special requests; or the unique alphanumeric identifier for each booking.
  2. (aviation, navigation) Initialism of point of no return.

Usage notes[edit]

  • The use of PNR to mean the unique identifier of a passenger name record is common but is strictly speaking incorrect. The correct term is record locator, or simply locator.
