@Fay Freak: It does look suspicious, but I'm not inclined to throw out the Akkadian item just for being a hapax, unless somebody is on record claiming it as a borrowing. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 17:43, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Metaknowledge: In CAD it is said to be “a late replacement”, and it is a dictionary-only word (“lex.”). In the SED they reference two “see further” resources I cannot access, but not mentioning anything about borrowing. Fay Freak (talk) 17:56, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Metaknowledge: Kogan said it later however, “Akk. našru is borrowed from WS”, in Kogan, Leonid (2011) “Proto-Semitic Lexicon”, in Weninger, Stefan, editor, The Semitic Languages. An International Handbook (Handbücher zur Sprach- und Kommunikationswissenschaft – Handbooks of Linguistics and Communication Science; 36), Berlin: De Gruyter, →ISBN, page 210. Thanks; I guess I could've checked that myself. I'll move it now. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 19:07, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
