@Cinemantique вместительность means: 1. "capacity as ability to hold" 2. "capacity as a numeric number". All of these capaciousness, spaciousness, roominess don't really match the meaning of вместительность, they all imply "large enough", and вместительность doesn't imply this. I corrected it, but you rolled it back. It looks like you use some online dictionary that is just bad. For example, this one is wrong [1]. Yurivict (talk) 10:52, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

They are wrong, unfortunately. They probably copy from each other or from one place somewhere. Ex. capaciousness="The quality of being capacious"; capacious="Having a lot of space inside; roomy" And вместительность doesn't imply "a lot of space inside". It only implies "ability to store". It only implies "large" after the reader imagines the situation. It could mean "малой вместительностью" as well. Literal translation: "capacity was amazing" (whatever the reader will think), actual translations could be "it was amazingly large", "it was amazingly small". Yurivict, I think you're getting bogged down in nuances of senses. The current translations are fine (correct) but not exhaustive, there could always be some differences in senses in different languages. The Oxford Russian Dictionary translates capaciousness only as “просторность”. I think “volume, capacity” is more apt for вместительность. --Vahag (talk) 13:49, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

Hmmm. After some thought, I think Yurivict's definition should be amended like this: 1. "capacity as ability to hold" 2. "capaciousness as ability to hold a lot" 3. "capacity as a numeric number". For the second sense compare the following citations:

Agreed, there is also a meaning "capaciousness as ability to hold a lot". There should be three lines then. Current definition is very vague, and doesn't really explain it to a person who doesn't already know the meaning of this word. Yurivict (talk) 23:01, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
