can adverbs have comparatives?[edit]

@Atitarev I take it that c=+ is requesting a comparative? Can Persian adverbs have comparatives and superlatives and if so are they formed like adjectives? Benwing2 (talk) 04:05, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Benwing2: An adjective-like adverb behaves like an adjective, so can be formed with تر -tar. So زودتر zudtar (earlier) for both adjective and adverb but other adverbs use describing words.
با دقت (bâ deqqat) - carefully, with care, با دقت بیشتری (bâ deqqat-e bištari) - more carefully, with better care. In short, some adverbs can. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 04:22, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
