Is it really pronounced baɲ haa yɔɔ? I'm that's in some online dictionaries but I fear some have an algorithm to generate pronunciation from script and it sometimes gets trapped. It seems in keeping with the Vietnamese source and consistent with the spelling that the យ on the end could be the final of the syllable starting with ហ and its inherent vowel. I'll see if I can ask a native speaker. — 111.90.187.158 08:44, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, ask a native speaker. I think it can be pronounced both ways. Many Khmer words have two or more pronunciations, which I liken to regular speech and careful speech, or informal and formal. —Stephen (Talk) 08:50, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
This is obviously a quirk of sealang on compound terms, which Headley doesn't supply pronunciation of, they have that algorithm that quite often has it all wrong. Sitaron (talk) 20:56, 23 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
