Poking around on the Japanese web (google:"賢法"+の+-wiki), this compound is used in the title of a book: 「大富豪になる17条の賢法」 (on Amazon Japan here), clearly glossed right on the dust cover as "Seventeen Smart Ways to Become a Millionaire". This is SOP of the root meanings of the two characters used, 賢 (“smart”) + 法 (“way”), with no mention of the "virtuous wisdom arts" silliness currently on the 賢法 page. The fact that this word is not listed in any dictionary I can find, either dead-tree or online, suggests that this is a neologism.

Excluding this book title cuts the number of hits down from 13,400 to just 1,710 (google:"賢法"+の+-wiki+ -"大富豪になる17条の賢法"). There's still evidence of use as a nickname (「賢法茄くん」, 「賢法のプロフ」), and use in a company name (「服部賢法財務行政書士事務所」), but in these cases the characters are used in a very SOP kind of way, much as in the book title above. There are numerous appearances in legal contexts having to do with insurance law, but looking at the PDF itself makes it clear that the combination 賢法 never appears, and it's just Google mis-scanning things like 保険監督法 (glossed in various places as "insurance control law" or "insurance regulatory law") and showing it as 保険甍賢法 (insurance [gibberish] law) in the search results.

I can't find evidence of this word in Chinese either (google:"賢法是"+-wiki). -- Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 16:51, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
