To set the german "bedeuten" cognate with the dutch "bedoelen" would be simply wrong! Yes, they mean the same, yet they're certainly not cognates.. "Bedeuten" (ger.) is of course cognate to "beduiten" (dut.). "Bedoelen", on the otherhand, may (certainly needs looking into!)be cognate to the english "tool". - Removed. An IP user added this and its counterpart at bedoelen, and it looks like no one has really looked at either entry since. Good catch! Chuck Entz (talk) 23:55, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
