Is "douse" or "dowse" the preferred form in the US? — This unsigned comment was added by 75.39.139.210 (talk) at 2:26, August 13, 2013.

In mainstream US usage, "dowse" is pretty much only used for the divining rod sense. I don't know about dialectal usage. Chuck Entz (talk) 03:37, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
