"fur" is also colloquial for "far". Is that something we should include? Rklawton 13:53, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    • 1944, Ernie Pyle, Brave Men, University of Nebraska Press (2001), page 105:
      "I can't tell you how far they shot, but as the Carolina boys said, 'It's awful fur.'"

Based on that quote alone, I'd say it's eye-dialect rather than colloquial. I think (but I'm not certain) that we do include eye dialect where it meets the CFI (three durably archived quotes, etc). Thryduulf (talk) 23:55, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
