Hozho nahasdlii'

[edit]

Another phrase to add as an example would be the famous "I Walk in Beauty" poem (Hozho nahasdlii'). 24.29.228.33 05:08, 29 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Verb?

[edit]

Isn't this (also) a verb? It looks like it should be from the etyl, and from the bił hózhǫ́ usage (similar to bił bééhózin, or bił yáʼátʼééh). Wall & Morgan's dictionary gives a usage example as an adverb -- doo hózhǫ́ yáłtiʼ da -- which seems like an alternate for the related hazhóʼógo. -- Eiríkr ÚtlendiTala við mig 05:51, 20 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, technically a verb, but now the noun hózhóní has taken over as a verb and hózhǫ́ is often used like an adverb. In a construction such as bił hózhǫ́, it is used as a verb. —Stephen (Talk) 00:35, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
