I'm new here, and I started a page for mirror stage. Having thought it over and read more about the criteria for inclusion, I think that it does not meet these criteria and should be deleted. What do you think? Nomen tuum 15:43, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Keep (or strong keep). Reading the Wikipedia article, it's a specific psychoanalytical concept and nobody (or almost nobody) is gonna work out the meaning from [[mirror]] + [[stage]]. --Mglovesfun (talk) 17:25, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious question, why was this nominated in the first place? --Mglovesfun (talk) 15:37, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I guess I was wrong. I just supposed that it was a term that was not used widely enough to be included. Nomen tuum 21:08, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much, the relevant passage of CFI is:
  1. Clearly widespread use, or
  2. Usage in a well-known work, or
  3. Usage in permanently recorded media, conveying meaning, in at least three independent instances spanning at least a year, or
  4. For terms in extinct languages: usage in at least one contemporaneous source.
This passes under #3. --Mglovesfun (talk) 17:12, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
