One Partner[edit]

This might also have a sense "sexually active with only one partner", antonymic to polysexual's polyamorous sense (and related to monoamorous). - -sche (discuss) 08:15, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Animals[edit]

-sche has done some good documentation work on this word today. This word is very unfamiliar to me. And I wonder: On the bisexual page, we see "of humans or other animals" as a qualifier for the first sense. Now in theory, I imagine that qualifier could apply to the adjectival senses of "monosexual" equally as well, but I'm wondering if in actual usage, "monosexual" is ever used with reference to animals. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 22:00, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to see some good cites on these senses. I will look into it myself later, but I am not an expert. Geographyinitiative (talk) 18:33, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cited. This might also have a sense "sexually active with only one partner", antonymic to polysexual's polyamorous-related sense (and related to monoamorous), but I haven't found cites (even citing sense 1 was harder than I expected, though sense 2 is amply attested). - -sche (discuss) 19:34, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
