SoP: office + de + tourisme. —Internoob (Talk|Cont.) 20:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Delete. Even the defn is not correct. If ever we allow tourist information office, then we could reconsider this entry. But until then..... -- ALGRIF talk 15:21, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Or just tourist information. Delete unless it's useful as a phrasebook entry. 63.95.64.254 02:00, 17 March 2009 (UTC) Abstain. DAVilla 05:31, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
strong keep. It's a set phrase (really!), and this sense of office is not usual in French (the normal term is bureau), except in this phrase, probably derived from English. office du tourisme also exists, and I think that there is a subtle difference between them. I feel that office du tourisme is more usual when the definite article is used, but this is something to be studied more: very helpful linguistic information could and should be given. The former phrase syndicat d'initiative must also be kept, it's impossible to understand it without a definition. Lmaltier 18:14, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, set phrase, keep. There is also agence de tourisme. —Stephen 19:03, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's much less clear for agence de tourisme', it might be kept, but I'm not sure. It's difficult to consider it as a set phrase (the set phrase is agence de voyage, or agence de voyages). Lmaltier 21:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No consensus: kept.msh210 23:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
