twilitten

"Past participle of twilight", for which we have no verb entry. Equinox ◑ 23:27, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

The OED [2ⁿᵈ ed., 1989] lists “ˈtwilight v. trans.” as a derivation of “twilight, n.”, defines it as “to light imperfectly or dimly”, and includes three quotations (dated 1819, 1866, and 1880) which exhibit the forms twilight and twilighted; it does not have *(deprecated template usage) twilitten, but it does list “litten, ppl. a.”. — Raifʻhār Doremítzwr ~ (U · T · C) ~ 03:40, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

I dimly recall running across twilit somewhere in the past... and google books:"twilit" does seem to generate quite a few hits. -- Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 20:10, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
