From Wikipedia: Vindaloo is an Indian dish. The term Vindaloo derives from the Portuguese dish "Carne de Vinha d' Alhos", a dish of meat, usually lamb, with wine and garlic.

Can we get anything about the derivation in?

@AryamanA, is the etymology not through some Indian language that borrowed the Portuguese term? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:01, 20 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Metaknowledge: It has to be Konkani. @माधवपंडित is a native speaker. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 23:03, 20 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
