Usage
[edit]This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from a collection of George Chapman's works (and one work formerly incorrectly attributed to Chapman) entitled The Works of George Chapman (1st edition, 1874–1875, 2 volumes) edited by Richard Herne Shepherd. The template can be used to create a link to online versions of the works at the Internet Archive:
Parameters

|author=– if quoting from a part of the work by Richard Herne Shepherd (for example, a footnote), specify|author=Shepherd.|1=or|volume=– mandatory: the volume number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, either|volume=Ior|volume=II.|1=,|chapter=, or|title=– mandatory: the chapter or title of the work quoted from. If quoting from one of the titles indicated in the second column of the following table, give the parameter the value indicated in the first column:

|3=,|text=, or|passage=– the passage to be quoted.|footer=– a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets=– use|brackets=onto surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.
