From Russian Вячесла́в (Vjačesláv), from Old East Slavic Вѧчеславъ (Vęčeslavŭ), from Proto-Slavic *Vęťeslàvъ, (*vęťьjь (“greater, more”) + *slàva (“glory, fame”).
