  2. (international standards, obsolete) Former ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country code for Serbia and Montenegro from 1992 to 2003.
    Synonyms: YU (alpha-2 1992–2003), SCG (2003–2006)
  3. (international standards, historical) Unofficial non-ISO 4217 currency code for the former Yugoslav 1994 dinar; a currency used from 1–23 January 1994.

Usage notes[edit]

Although Serbia and Montenegro was officially known as Yugoslavia from 1992 to 2003, hence the ISO 3166 code remaining in use, it was rarely referred to by that name in practice.
