- (intransitive or impersonal) to please [with a ‘someone’]
- questo film mi aggrada ― I like this movie (literally, “this movie pleases me”)
- fate come vi aggrada (impersonal) ― do as you like (literally, “do as it pleases you”)
Usage notes
[edit]- Traditionally, this verb can be used only in the third-person singular present indicative, but in modern usage, all tenses in both singular and plural are allowed and easily attestable.
