Etymology[edit]
By aphesis from jamuninni, jemuninni, first-person plural imperative of jirisinni (“to go away”), formed from jiri (“to go”, here jamu “let's go”) + si (“oneself”, here ni “ourselves”) + nni (“from here/there”). Compare Italian andarsene, Neapolitan se ne jì, French s’en aller.
