diagometer (plural diagometers)

1. A kind of electroscope in which the dry pile is employed to measure the amount of electricity transmitted by different bodies, or to determine their conductive power.
   • 1857, Pompeius Alexander Bolley, Manual of technical analysis:

     the use of an instrument called a diagometer, constructed so as to show the electrical conductibility of the oil to be examined
