From Ottoman Turkish طوملمق (domalmak), cognate with Kazakh томалау (tomalau) and Azerbaijani dombalmaq. Akin to Turkish domalan.

Verb[edit]

domalmak (third-person singular simple present domalır)

  1. (intransitive, vulgar) to get on all fours
  2. (transitive, vulgar) to pay (an amount deemed much higher than the product or the service merited)
